The essence of Adaptive FIT What the new footware will provide are unique ways and a new means to improve on the experience of walking and running by truly maximizing each foot's potential energy when engaged with the ground strike. For all the segments of a stride that strike the ground there is a new mediation event. No more will shoes be the mundane and/or aesthetic purchase they are now, things you will just be wearing if you need to go out; they are now working tools for the feet, structures that will take their unique ability to make connections into other areas of interest to their user, to places that no other shoes have ever gone before. What is being-placed-between the human user and the ground over which they stride is something other than the shoe sole. No matter how they are described, regardless of their properties and improvements over the years, it is "where the leather hits the pavement" that is the point of failure for current footwear. It is not a material change that is needed -- like a new plastic with different sizes in their air pockets -- but a profound change, something that is creating a whole system in the shoe. How the footware will mediate is through a new interface, a shoe format so revolutionary that every groundstrike is put through a process. The existence of an interface is made possible by a new shoe's adapting characteristics. The face of the adapting shoe is the sole reason why a majority of footwear ailments may soon be alleviated. If it is compared with the current shoe, there is now room-enough for biomechanical changes in the foot, for its evolution over the day. In the architecture of footware are component combinations, portions of which will support and facilitate the foot -- while under your direction. However broad are your moves or discrete your adjustments, the power you have is in the control you take. How under-your-power is going to make a difference is up to the individual, but each user will have a means to make the most of every step. Shoes that are worn have a binding nature that creates instability -- there is not enough distribution of the impact forces that have a tendency to travel upwards, where they can reach and/or interfere with many of the joints in the body proper (amongst many other plaguing problems, this one is the most corrosive over time). The need is for new shoes that can free-up potential, new shoes that will, when faced with a ground strike, react naturally. How they can fit might even be synonymous with how they adapt. What drives our shoe, and is at the center of its new architecture, is a special structure that will always work with both its user and the ground (we consider this the patent ready crown jewels). It is basically two things, the means for supporting a human body and a distributor for the whole of a stride's impact forces. Also, this is this structure that radically alters the whole plan for each element of the shoe, and opens it up to the possibilities that come from timing events. For every stride there are segments that have a sequence and pace to them, where parts can easily be differentiated. Now, just as the events will be broken down so they are understood, so can the shoe components that have tie-ins with them. We can see where it might be common to have a custom adjusted shoe that will, depending on what the biomechanical demands are, fit the individual. Though footware is not at all see-through, it will be transparent in its operations. By making an automatic distinction amongst the segments in each one of their foot strikes, the shoes will effectively Notice how bone connections are allowing shoe shocks to radiate upwards -- and then cancel them. Extending on this timing capability is an architecture that helps components be interactive by nature, allowing their full potential to be realized. As the individual adjusts their steps, their new shoes will mirror their actions; the unique nature within their stride, both accepted and supported. For neither the person or their footware is there anything 'finicky' about this, not in their parts or structure, not in their behaviour and not with their integrity. |
